Hello All, Kinda new to the bolens restoration world. Finding more difficult than expected finding wisconsin parts. Just started on my second resto. and bolens 1000. Need a gasket set, complete carb rebuild kit, maybe rings. Wanted your thoughts on the best place to get them. Thanks

Hello and welcome. The model of your engine would help. If it's a TRA-10D I have seen engine gasket kits on ebay. I bought a rebuild kit for my carb from Sam Bolens. He is very helpfull if you need parts for your tractor. I think Hastings still makes rings for that engine Part number #235. I hope this helps you.

Welcome!

We would love to see some pictures of your Tractors when you get a chance!

Believe it or not, there still are a ton of wisconsin engine parts out there, just not to many people are selling them anymore.

You can try ebay, or our site sponsor Bob : http://bobsgardentractors.com/

Thanks for the info sieborg400, I have dealt with sam in the past, real nice guy. I bought the decal set for the h16 I restored from him, they were spot on. Sam seems like the go to guy for most things.

He definitely is the go to guy for decals. No one else's reproduction decals even come close to the quality of his and in my opinion are worth every penny.

The Bolens 1000 was the first Bolens I ever drove and it was originally my Grandfathers, which is the reason why I like the 1000 so much :D

These Bolens are definitely addicting, so you better make sure you have some room for a few more :D
