beenhi guys, i been looking for a matching set or brinly disc harrows for some time now. instead if the angle iron on top that reinforces the frame being v shaped like most of the brinly disc have.. the bolens have the angle iron strait. well i finally found a set 5 minutes from my house. it has been well used an never greased. so the axles are wore down an the disc are wore out an bent up. i been wanting to do a resto on something but dont have time to start on the bolens 1000 so im goin to do the disc harrow. i need 16 disc, 4 axles an if there still avalable i want to get the carrier for the axles. they bolt to the frame and drop down and hold the axles. they are "egged" out. does anyone know where i can buy disc and other parts? if i have to i can build up the axles with the welder and turn them in a laidthe. here are some pics to help everyone can see what im talking about. thanks, sam

That's an early set I don't think the Bearing hangers have been available
for some time but you could give Brinly a call as for the disc they used to
still have them but you can buy a used disc cheaper. Here is a parts breakdown
for 1963 with the old part numbers they are models DD 100 and DD 200

You may be able to bush the bearing hangers {just a thought }

Hope this helps out

Those discs really look pretty good, considering the age especially. The metal that they're made from is probably better than new ones. If you decide they're savable, I'd bush the hangers and Try find new axels or weld them up.

Were they painted Bolens colors or were they standard Brinly colors scheme?

That's a great find you have, congrats.
