That was the top of the line 2wd GT for JD until the 700 series came out. It is pretty much the same machine as the 700 series. For that price with a 3pt and a blade it would be a steal of a deal IMO

I had a x475 for 3 years and about 200hrs. I did not have a single problem with that tractor in the 3 yrs I had it. The front hitch, blade and angling cylinder alone are worth quite a price even used. The 3pt is another 600 or more. With the 24hp Yanmar you would have a serious superGT that you could keep for a long time. A loader is available from JD and also aftermarket. For that price I'd not let it get away unless it is totally beat. There is an hour meter so you should know how much time it has on it. Let us know how it goes.

PumkinToter: I think tha's an outstanding price for Iowa.
I look at the prices Van Wall Group is charging for used JD's in the area to geta general idea. Google Van Wall Group to compare. Bet you'll find the 495 @ $4-6K.

Yeah, that's about what they go for not running up here. I'd run, not walk, to go get it.

Take it for a test drive. They are a nice ride. It is well worth considering for that price.
