I talked to the guy, he said it runs, has a front mounted mower, snow-blade, and snow-blower. Odd little tractor, steering wheels are in the back.

There's another member who has one. Here's a link to his post about getting started on his restoration. You could probably PM him and ask about what he paid for his and get an idea of what it might be worth. That sounds like a nice collection of attachments for it, but condition is everything as you know. The seller may not be out of line with the price, but it seems like a lot of money to me.

I have the one in the post mentioned above. I bought in 2006 as is in the photo for $75 + gas for a one way 150 mile drive. Right now it is in a couple hundred pieces scattered throughout the garage. Some parts are still untouched, some have been electrolyised (may have coined a new word) and in primer and some media blasted and in primer. Once the first of our four warm months get here I'll get started again.

I have no plans on selling it, since it will go to one of my grandsons when I no longer need it, but if I did with just the snowblower I would ask $2000. As far as I know there are only about eight of the ones manufactured that the whereabouts is known.

If I had the money right now I would make the guy a $1500 offer.

Do you have the parts manual for it, Bill?

As far as I know there is only one manual for it and it is both the operator and parts manual and here is the link..

George Work-Bird Tractor Manual - Manuals - Garden Tractor Talk - Forums

Another member has one of the tractors and started a thread here but I can't find it but maybe one of the other members can.

Heck, after looking at the old post I find that you are the poster.

Glad to see a WorkBird geting restored and have plans to keep it in the family. As a collector of George products, I have two of them. One is more a parts unit and the other runs and mows occasionally for the fun of it. Good luck with your project.
