Yesterday I traded a buddy of mine for an SS15. Not a bad looking machine. No attachments but has the mower mule. I cleaned the mouse nest out, replaced the generator belt and it runs pretty good. Someone has the muffler pointing straight at the belt drive. There is an elbow and some cast iron doohickey. How is the exhaust supposed to be? I was going to make a quick buck on it but it's a pretty solid machine. I would like to find a deck for it, what sizes were available? Anybody have any pictures of the correct way to run the exhaust?

Those Sears are a nice machine and there are a lot of them out there. It's well worth considering as a working tractor. I've almost bought a couple of them over the last year.

The deck sizes available for a Suburban are 42" and 48". 42" is the much more common size, however, your engine has more than enough power to run a 48". There is also rumor of a 52" Roper-only deck floating around somewhere.
