I am anxious to hear how you make out Scott. I have often thought about using uship to ship a couple of things.

One thing i would like to add, Make sure the pallet you use is bigger then the piece. This will protect it from being run into other things in the terminal and also on the truck. I shipped a C-160 WH from Fl. to TX. and they put on a 48" X 42" pallet, the seat pan and hood were both damaged because they overhung the pallet. When these Co. forklift drivers are loading the trucks out, they are all about getting it done as fast as they can!!!

Excellent point, Brian. There are good forklift drivers who take the time not to damage things. Then there are the rest. The deck of my work truck looks like it's been through a war.

Realized I had not followed back up on this thread
Tractor came in as planned
Was a few hours late but he had called to let us know
I would use this service again without hesitation
I thought for what was delivered - 1 crate with 3/4 the gt on it that probably weighted around 400-500 lbs plus a wooden box that weighted close to 85-100 lbs the price was very reasonable
Keep in mind several people/companies are bidding......in my case I chose a father and son team.....felt that they would be more careful with the loading and unloading.....so although the gt was on a pallet......it was almost hanging off on one side....it still came in in good shape......the great thing about uship is you can see the shippers ranking so you can get an idea if they are meeting their customers expectations......good luck!

Shipped from Ohio to eastern NC......I figured when I was in PA it would have cost me that much in gas just to drive over to Ohio and back to Pa......plus I would have had another 4-5 hours of driving.
