You're partially right. The old tower was pretty much hashed. Someone put in a different battery box and did a pretty bad job doing it. my original frame was also twisted beyond repair so that is a different one also. Most everything else I bolt back on should be from the original tractor. Probably should have parted this one out but I wouldn't have a cool story to tell at tractor shows!

Part it out? Nah, that one was a survivor! If you take it to shows you should print out a bunch of pics and put them in a binder, it seems like tractors with lots of pics do better. If people saw the pic of that red hunk-o-junk they would be mighty impressed with the was it is coming along.

Here's a few from the process. Most of my others are on another computer that has since crashed. Hopefully I can extract them for a more complete narrative. The pic with the pink blanket underneath is what was left of one of the axle bushings. I plan to put them all my pics together with a nice little story once I get the old girl finished.

You have done a fabulous job on the restore of said "Crud Cadet". You are going to have to rename her or she get some kind of complex. LOL

Wow Jeff. Quite the transformation. The Crudet is almost like a mascot and it is hard to see it change. Won't be the same. :D

I surely hope you can retrieve the pics from the other computer. Would love to see an article on this on.

Keep up the great work.

Sure is pretty now, a BEAUTIFUL job! . . .

but I gotta ask . . . won't you kinda miss it being as easy and worry-free to use as it was before? :rolling:

It will probably be a "15 footer" when I'm done anyway. That hardened paint seems to like to chip during assembly. Things won't be truely "restored" as well. I'll have a expanded metal grill and a few other financial consideration modifications.
