Now that I have my GT20 running ( still fine tuning ), I have a question.
My deck is a standard 48" Ariens three spindle setup. Whats weird is I have six blades,
two on each spindle. The upper blades are offset in the center to line up with the cutting edge of the lowers. Is this standard or do I have some type of finish mower setup? All the blades say Ariens on them and they are heavy duty.

Is it possibly a mulching setup? I never saw anything like that, so its just a wild guess.

The little MTD mower I have has an optional set of small blades to go with the big ones. Used for mulching, so the manual says.

If you could post a picture of the blades it might help with the ID. Sounds like you might have a rare setup there.

I'd guess that is a 734011 48" Mulchblade Kit ;-)

Some of the Gravely walk behind decks were setup this way, I had considered doing to my Cub deck.

I lot of pro grass cutters will double them up, but it does take more HP to spin them up.

MegaMow has a setup very similar to his.
