Hers a couple pic of the 1556 I will soon be taking delivery on.

It is suposed to run, It needs some minor sheetmetal work and some steering work but other than that it is clean and complete. This thing was originaly gonna go to the crusher:confuse: until the guy I'm gettin it from saved it.:worshippy1:

I can now scratch this one off the wanted list.:bounce:

This is the largest tube frame correct?

No , it's not the largest tube frame, the 1656 ( H16 ) is the largest and has the newer white/black paint scheme .They are however the same physical size ,the only difference is the engine size. Nice looking Bolens, looks to be in really good condition.
Can you get a picture from behind,I think the rear fender may be different on the 1556.The H16 rear fender has a " notch " cut in the center of the rear fender,I was wondering if the 1556 also has that, something tells me it doesn't.

I see it has the early style deck attaching and lift assembly,so it must be an early model, 1556-01 or 02.Also, a green deck,I believe the 1556's had a red deck, although maybe the early ones didn't.

NICE looking tractor! I'd like to have one of those myself, and I'm not a Bolens guy....very few around here. What does the hump on hood serve?

That hump is for engine clearance.

It appears to have older deck attaching/lift brackets .
Besides having different spindles, the front axle is also different, although I am not sure what the change was.
