Here is a idea I had for rolling workbenches in my little shop. I often have to arrange things different when i work on a larger project and my work space is so small. It was hard for me to invest the money but the tractor supply store had these steel rolling tables on sale a few years ago . I bought two of them and fell in love with them and ended up buying three more. I joined two together and attached a countertop to them and it works pretty slick. The thrid one I built a splatter shield and it is my welding table. The other two I can roll around if I need more space at one end. euclidheavyhaulpictures.jpg

On both ends of my small workshop I bought four rolling toolboxes , cheap ones on sale and I bolted them to a 8 foot countertop and made a frame below for my welder and storage. These also can be moved around for cleaning and for maximum workspace at one end. boatmodelprogress.jpg

It was hard for me to spend the money on five toolboxes too but over two years later they have been my best buy. I love those workbenches . I have a fifth one in the other corner with a short four foot counter bolted on top and even that small one is so handy. It is surprising how quick one workbench can be used up and you need another one or two more. In this picture the two center rolling tables are pushed to this end. Both of my JD455 tractors fit like this or one of my mini loaders fit like this. Most of the time it is arranged for model building the the other two tables in the middle.

Nice job Don!!I have noticed that there are a LOT of different ways to make a workbench.I think I have narrowed it down.Whenever I start,I'll take plenty of pics to document the project.jc

This was the easiest , quickest way for me to get back to building models. After my workshop was built it was less than a week and I was building the first model in it. So all the benches were made in less than two days .
