Did a bit more on it today, and when I got to the tranny, I remember something.

Back in Aug. when I brought it home, I had it sitting in the shop, with the
garage door open. The sun was blistering hot, and shining right on the tranny.
I happened to notice water running out of the shift lever opening.
So, I put it up on the horses, and split the tranny open. In the one pic, you can see
the waterfall, as I split it open
I cleaned out most of the water then, knowing I wouldn't get to working on it till
now, and I didn't want it to freeze, and crack the case.
The other pics are from today. Got it cleaned out fairly well, and refilled with grease.

That's what they look like when water gets inside, looks like you saved it and it'll be OK

It was pretty messy in there. Reminded me of the diaper changing days.
All the gears look like new. Neat little tranny.

Will, your little calf has scours.

Glad you drained the water out, might not have been good to leave it in there thru the cold, good call on draining in advance.

Did as much assembly on this as I could right now. Waiting for paint, and engine parts.
Everything went together well, and no left over parts.
Gotta put some nonskid on the foot rests. The right one was missing, so I had to make it.
Notice, that you have to assemble this thing upside down. Last step will be to bolt deck up
underneath with 6 bolts, and then the blade.

Well she's done, other than the seat cover.
I got the engine running Friday, which was a battle in itself. Today, I put the tin back on, and
applied the decals. I didn't take it for a test ride, as I didn't want to buckle it in half under my
load. After running it through the gears, up on blocks, I mothballed the engine, so now it's
ready to put back on the shelf.
