Found out that my 1954 Briggs Model 8 is good after finding out the flywheel on it was warped and causing the engine to seem to be seized.....

Glad to hear the motor is fixable , Do you have any idea what happened to the flywheel ? Al

No I dont know what really caused the flywheel to warp, I did an experiment today by putting that flywheel on my 5s engine and the exact same thing happend...it makes the engine seem like it seized....

Glad to see that you got it running!

I'm really not a big fan of Starting fluid or carb cleaner so what I usually is have a small bottle of gasoline that I use to squirt into the carb. (Its alot cheaper too LOL)
