Seen one on CL, and looks like a nice little tractor. Stamped made in Chagrin Falls Ohio on the grill right below "LEADER". It's in Lancaster, Ohio. I don't know how to put the add on here but the posting ID# is 2808536890. Says it has new motor and looks pretty good in the pics for $2000.00 Just thought i'd post this in case anyone was interested.
Thanks.

Anyone know anything about LEADER tractors?

My Dad had one, very distinctive unit if they have the original wheels on them.
I always thought they did such a nice job on the grills & stampings was to prove they werent home-made. The more I'm around Dad's, the more I think everything on it was an afterthought. Not what one would call "ergonomic". They were competition for the Pacers, Ponies, etc of the time.
All that said, that is a very well kept unit. I think they're about $500 high, but it's nice.

Know nothing about them and had never seen one before. Google shows it had a Hercules engine.
It makes me think of the Model A Avery I ran in my early teens(though the Avery had on front wheel) and Hercules water cooled 4.
I would guess around 15-20 Hp and it looks to have 8:00 X24 wheels.

My recolection is they are physically similar in size to a IH "Cub", as for horsepower ? I don't know but Hercules 4 cylinders engines of that age should be easy to look up.How big is this tractor? Is it full sized,or would it be sized close to a Speedex,or Power King ,etc.?

I have been looking for my 26-56 book ever since this thread came up. Today I literally stubbed my toe on it (somehow under the bed?)
