I just bought the bushhog on ebay last week. I will not be picking it up for a couple of weeks. Trying to start my homework before it gets home......not sure the year.

Did they all have the same Wisconsin 10 motor?? The manual on the site the motor number is TRA10D......can I assume that is what is on mine as well???

Thanks,

Scott

I'm no Bush Hog expert but I know they used TRA-10D's (10HP) ,S-8D's (8.25HP) and S-7D's (7.25HP) on different models

Congratz on buying a Bush Hog, I still have yet to bring mine home, it is at George's still lol. Bush Hog used whatever engines they had available, most were Wisconsin TRA10D but they also used other models of Wisconsins, and even Techumsehs depending on availability.

Yep, TRA-10D, TR-10D, and even the HH100 Tecumseh. Yours is of course Wisconsin, but I can't tell which model. The TR10D isn't even 10hp, it's 8 1/4, but still has plenty of power.

It's definitely not an S-7D

And from the pics I think I can rule out an S8D as well

its either a TRA-10D or TR10D

Scott,
Picked your tractor up for you today, with the help of jdelfjunior and ckjakline (fellow members), and it is now at my place. As per your request, here are additional pictures of your recent purchase. If you need anything additional, let me know.

Troy
