I used to have an 85, but it didn't come with the engine or pulley, so I have no idea as to the size of the pulleys. Finding a deck won't likely be easy. Here's my MF85, which I sold a few years ago. I converted it to hydrostatic & repowered with a 12.5 IC Briggs.

I have a1977 MF 85 I bought at yard sale in 2002 (my first garden tractor).I have used it as trail mower on 52 acre property I have the original owners manual.
Ican get you the dimensions for the pulley, but the tractor is at the land and I dont get down there during the winter(55 mi & hilly) Will be going there in April, let me know if you don't have them by then.
According to the manual there are 2 mower decks MF3610 side discharge and MF3615 rear discharge, Mine has an MF 3610.

Have you found the dimensions for your pulley yet? I will be down to the land this weekend and can check if you still need them.
Any other questions? I'll try to answer. Dave

Brad & ducky....did you guys find out what you needed? I'm thinking the pulley stack set pretty much matched the common stacks of that time period on other makes. My memory failed me when this thread first posted. I DID get the original engine, but it was junk & the pulley was seize-welded to the crank. I used a pulley stack off something else, but can't remember what.....but I believe a common MTD built rider.
