I would think building a custom axle would be great because you can weld whatever you don't like until you like it lol.

Casey I looked for an axle for mine but came up short, also had a welded frame , and I didn't want to have to build it all over again. And then I found my first Ford, and the craftsman rig was stripped and scrapped. Got a ton of usefully stuff from it though! Heck, the only parts that went to the scrap was the busted frame and front axle ,everything else was used up.

Keith, I have actually like the Caterpillar (my GT18) and plan to use it more than I used to. Therefore, I have been working to build it into something worth the name Caterpillar lol. No offense to those Fords, they look stout as heck.
