I fired up the 5400 and got to move 4 inches of fresh wet snow around this afternoon. It looks like 2 or three inches more so I'll be up playing in the snow in the morning and another snowstorm for Thurs.

Watching the weather right now Don and it looks like you are getting lake effect. Sure sounds windy down here but I don't see any snow for us right now, about 4 inches down from today's storm. Have fun!

I got the 5400 out yesterday and just really enjoyed playing in the 4 inches of new snow as it was snowing pretty hard . I got it out again this morning and cleaned up 3 more inches and now it looks like we could get 3 to 5 inches more tonight so plenty of seat time now. (:>) I have days I think about selling the 5400 and buying a smaller tractor but it would cost a lot to replace it and it is paid for so I always end up just keeping it. Prices on new compact 4x4 tractors with front blowers , rear blades and deluxe cabs are outragious .

About 6" here. Used the old Craftsman for the third time this year. Picked up a small rock on the next to last pass and broke the belt to the shaft that drives the auger chain. Belt costs $17.99 plus tax this year up from $15.49 in December 2010.

Good thing I got that Social Security raise.

It seems there isn't much snow anywhere this year. Every winter is different and we could get a ton of snow yet, but there is nothing much in the forecast here. Happy plowin guys!

I lived in Gaylord for a year back in the 90's. Being from Missouri I earned a new respect for what snow really is. Sometimes I miss it....maybe.

Looks like tonights snow is staying south of us.

And we are SOUTH of you:smile1:
About a fresh inch on the ground since it started this afternoon, looks like we wont get much more than two or three inches total for today. Add that to the two or three inches in the drive and looks like I will have the blower back out tomorrow:worshippy1:. Plus my brother and his wife are coming up to their cabin next door so I will get a little more seat time in:bounce:

Now that winter has started, it seems to want to play catch up, snow, snow, snow:D

I'm south of both of you, in Allegan County and getting 4-6 inches tonight! Can't wait until about 6 am, it's blade time again. I'll have to get a video this time! Yippie snow!!

How many hours do you have on your 455 ? Did you buy it new ? Any problems with it ?
