Give it a try, Chris. May be the camera angle making it look odd to me.
Thanks, ducky. I'm just concerned about when a load gets put on it.

I just put an angle finder on the cylinder to see if I could give you a better answer. With the bed down the cylinder is at 58 degs. from horizontal and with the bed up it is at 47 degs. This does not take into account that the tractor tends to be slightly nose down.

Chris
You really have a good looking project. :smile1:

I just found this page so I might be a little behind (nothing unusual). It would be nice to see if I can get you to bring it to some of the shows this year. The other guys in this area will probily be jealous of you.:bounce:

The lifts that have the most problems are the scissor lift. I don't think he could put enough weight in the bed to overload the cylinders. Now if the cylinders break over center, he would have a problem.

Good news. I put 440 lbs. (my Son and I) on the front of the bed and it lifted us with no problem. He was able to stiff arm one of the rafters and stop it with both of us on it. Didn't load the engine so I'm thinking the by-pass in the hydro is opening. I'm guessing it will dump anything I plan to haul. Takes 3 1/2 seconds to go from horizontal to almost vertical. Much faster than I ever imagined. I will try taking a video and post it here. I may need some help. Hint hint.

That sounds perfect Chris! Being able to strong-arm stop it is a good sign. It will lift anything you need, just as you said.

BUT.... :wewantvideo:

The relief valve on the ported tranny is set for 500-625 lbs. the cap between the forward/reverse relief valves is the lift relief valve.

Chris sent me the video to put on my youtube account, but youtube can't convert it, as it's a "Quicktime" video. Anyone know how to convert a .mov movie file?

I don't know, but the charge pump on the non-ported pump is set for about 95 lbs and on the ported pump it is set for 200 lbs.

I had to go look it .

Hey, I could play it on QuickTime, but not put on youtube, so I just played it on my PC and took a movie of it with my camera! I forgot to turn my sound higher for camera to pick it up good.
