All this hay down & ready to final rake & bale. My son is out with a kidney stone and in a lot of pain, so I'm a man down with a lot to do. If I'm too worn out, I'll miss chat tonight.
Hope that stone passes soon for him. I've never had one, but they can put the toughest of men down.

I feel for your son Daniel,I have suffered with them a few more times than I want to remember.I usually have to get mine blasted,as they usually get lodged in a "corner " of my kidney,or stuck in the ureter.I hope for his sake they don't go "fishing" for it with the "basket" because that is extremely unpleasant.

you guys have been having it hard down there. First he's off due to kid, then a 4 wheeler wreck, now a kidney stone.

Yes Kidney stones are not pleasant... I was just put on pain meds and then told to drink lots of water all while straining when I went to the restroom to be sure it passed. If they didn't then they would have to go "fishing"! Thank goodness they passed!

I hope your son gets better fast and you can get caught up on your work. Wish I lived closer, I'd give you a hand.

Was a rough day. Had problems with the hay due to not curing completely from the ground moisture coming up. Finally got the one field done, then had NO problems with a small grass field at my BIL's. After milking tonight, I tried the field with grass & red clover. Seemed dry enough....but wrapped up around the throat shaft. Called it a day.
My brother just called. His son-in-law is in UK medical center with a brain anurism....doesn't look good he said. Surgery tomorrow if he makes it through the night. He's a good guy too...different, but a good guy & loving father of my grand-niece. I have no details at the moment, but please say a prayer if you're so inclined.
