:wallbanging:January 7 2012 high of plus 4 degrees here no snow and no snow in site. i have no snowblower's to fix because no one is blowing snow. everything is fixed and serviced and ready for some abuse, but there is nothing to do, and the worst thing is my wife wants me to go to the mall with her and i have no excuse to get out of it. If olcowhand needs his stalls shovelled out i'll be on the next plane.[Anything but the MALL!]:mad2:

To get out of going to the mall go on Kijiji and find something...anything...your wife finds boring. If you can make it an hour or more out of the way it's even better. Show it to your wife and say, "I need to check this out on the way to the mall." You will suddenly find that she'd rather go to the mall alone and, since it's now her idea, you suffer no consequences. I've learned a thing or two in 23 years of marriage.

Took a short break from working on my 12 to help the wife with some christmas decoration putaway. Otherwise I am busy outside working on the 12 in the 50+ degree weather at the moment. Haven't heard the furnace run all afternoon. I am loving that!

Just came in for some iced tea, been fixing a new gate for the chicken pen. I've been working in my usual grey T-shirt with a pocket. It's 70 degrees here sun shinning and not a cloud in the sky. There's a lot to love about Texas. Wife just got back from shopping.........after 37 years I can smell a trip to the mall coming and find something to do. That's another reason to never catch up on the chores.

I took my own advice. Drove down to Winkler and ended up buying a three-row cultivator and a rear blade. No malls.

Pchili4....hop on that plane....always plenty of crap to get into down here! When Teresa really want to "shop", I always bow out & stay at home. When she only needs certain things & it's a grab/pay/go situation, then I'll go with her.

Sneaky, sneaky, sneaky, but a really good idea:thumbs:

Daniel, you have something special there, a woman who will grab/pay/go. The difference in men and women is that men go to place of business to buy something he wants or needs ........... women go to see if there's something they want to buy.

Now she doesn't always shop fast. Those are the times I stay home. BUT, if I need something & don't wanna go with her, I put it on her list and she gets it for me!
And she is a special woman....and still even loves me! LOL

Daniel, funny you should say about the grab/pay/go thing, that's what it ended up being. Then she wanted to go for a nice country drive that lasted about 2 hrs and she was actually pointing out potential garden tractors for sale and one's that are for sale. I had to keep looking at her to see if it was my wife i've had for 28 yrs. all in all it was a great day!:dancingbanana:
