Congrats sounds like he has a 16-6 with the twin Onan. I have 1 and it is the most used of all. Again that will be the best $100.00 he'll ever spend

The paint job isn't so good, but despite that, a great deal for $100!

That's a great looking tractor with lots of potential. Tell him he every right to be proud of that purchase. The paint can be redone, if it's a good, dependable runner... That's 3/4 of the battle.

Other than diesel, Onan is my favorite engine. I have 2 tractors, both Massey, with 20hp Onans in them. In my spare engine inventory, I have 4 other Onans, two BF like in this Sears, an 18hp, and a 20hp.

When the Onans are in tune they are about the smoothest, nice sounding small engine around! Good luck with your project.

My '72 SS 15 has a sick engine. Thinking of a repower with one of these engines but would have to modify hood/grill. Making the clutch work looks like no problem after seeing how it is mounted on the 16
