So I picked up an old Super 3 earlier this summer. The 3hp Continental has no spark and since I had a 212cc Predator laying around I bolted that up. It worked well, but I have plans of putting a 42" mower deck on in the spring. My grandfather bent the shaft and worm gear on his blower with the first snow of the season and decided to buy a new one, since his NOMA was 17 years old. I inherited the blower for parts and bolted the 8hp Tecumseh on.

We needed to weld up some channel iron to move the engine to the side since it was too wide for the speed changer to line up with the crankshaft. I peeled the original Allstates off and put on an old set of all-weathers. I'll have a coat of paint slopped on once the weather warms back up this spring.

So then we had to modify the plow I had on my Gardenaid to fit into the DB front hitch. Some more channel from an old bumper, some angle, and some 3/8" plate and we have about the most rugged DB plow hitch I've ever seen. So without further interruptions...

Do you still have the old motor? If it's complete I would be interested in it.

I too could use the old engine for parts. Did it still have it's recoil?

Yea it still has the recoiler but Amigatec has first bid on it. If it falls through for some reason I'll let you know.
