George,

In your post above that is pointing out member " Rammer ( Tom Ramsay ) another friend of mine, Gary is to Tom's left, or to the right as pictured. ( Blue shirt & Onion picker straw hat ! )

Tom was unable to Make the two day trip so Gary tried on his own Friday. But once denied entry, Gary picked up Tom on Saturday and they made the One day trip without tractors just to come and be there. It was very nice to see them and shoot the bull as usual but I am still very sorry for what had happened

Ken,

Glad to see you here !!
I don't post a whole bunch here but I am here every day reading, laughing and learning. I have to say this is a great forum with a great bunch of members

I guess Canadians should print out the plow day info to show the border patrol. Just in case. It would show it's not a job, but just for fun. Hard to believe they turned him away, but then there are those that love to nothing better than to be an A-hole.

Daniel nailed my thoughts about the plowing. The border guard probably thought that it was a paying job. Just tell them that it is a hobby and you are taking the tractors to a show. And Ron, please tell Gary that we apologize for his problems. If he has been to plow days in the US before, he knows that all of us are not A-holes. But he did find one in the border guard.

If I was going to plow day I'd be more worried about getting back home with my tractor and not having them think that I bought it down there.

NJKen, Welcome to GTTalk! Pull up a chair and post a bit. We have a blast here. I haven't had so much fun anywhere else, plus I'm learning something new every day! Hang around a while and check things out!

Ron I was doing my usual slow typing for my post,(I go even slower than my Bolens) and till I got it posted I see that Gary was able to make the trip. I hope that he enjoyed the plowing and hopefully somebody gave him a tractor to at least make a few passes. Also thank Gary for making the trip after some big problems the first day.

OMG, I just got my cup of coffee to my lips when I read that. Thankfully I didn't have any in my mouth or it would have been all over my monitor. LOL

But even after your dad telling me several times that you guys needed my picture I never did give you guys a chance to get one. LOL!!! Kudos on the video by the way, its great.

I'm gonna make a big effort to get there. It's a long haul, but
hey, I've done crazier things.

Hey Will, it's a long haul to meet you in Canada, but I have also done crazier things. But be assured my friend, the trip was well worth the time and effort just to meet you and be able to personally see Massey Hall. It was a fantastic experience.

My kids and I had a wonderful weekend with a wonderful group of people. I can't think of another hobby where 95% of the enthusiasts are all friendly and genuinely get along. I asked my kids their most and least favorite parts of the weekend. They liked everyone they met, had a great time playing in the dirt, and enjoyed the food. Their least favorite thing was waiting for me to get done "talking" and go to the fields to plow. :blush2: (they were both messing with me.)

I would like to send special thanks to anyone who struck up a conversation with either of my kids, they have their Father's gift for gab
