I want to say "THANK YOU" to all of you for all the nice comments that you've made during this project.
I have enjoyed sharing it with you and I sure appreciate you taking the time and effort to make comments.

.........................................................................

There are just a few things to finish up yet. ......
The original Shaw walk behind tractor had a brass identification tag on it and I managed to clean it up enough to be able to read it.
Unfortunately, whoever built this into a riding tractor back in the 40's, drilled a hole thru one corner of the tag to mount that plow lift lever on the back.
Here's what the tag looks like now.

Posted Image

The tag reads:

Shaw Manufacturing Company
Du-All Tractors, Power Mowers and Tillage Tools.
Galesburg, Kans USA
Model No - D Catalog No - T 45D-4

I mounted the tag on the frame in front of the clutch pedal.

Posted Image

Before I painted the lift lever, I drilled and threaded the pivot mount for a set screw.
This tightens down on the pivot pin so the pin can't slide out and so the pin itself pivots in the mounting brackets.

Posted Image

The twp pins for holding the rake from rotating now have little chains on them so they won't get lost.

Posted Image

Here is a photo of one of the dust caps on the wheels.

The tractor is all finished and I drove it out to take some photos.

That is great, Ray! Looks real good behind the tractor. Every time you post more pics, I am amazed at the quality in your work. Truly awesome. Running out of words to describe all this. Thank you for sharing your builds.

I have to say this Ray, even if I am never fortunate enough to see your projects up close, you make it feel as though we were right there building the machines with you. I am sure you appreciate all the feedback we provide during your builds as much as we all enjoy reading about them, and looking over the pics. Thanks Ray!

These guys already said everything I was thinking:ditto::iagree::thumbs: Great work Ray, waiting for your next creation.
It was kind of funny to me(maybe sad to you other folks :smilewink:) to see Casey's comment about maybe never seeing your work up close, cause before I got through the pictures I was thinking the opposite. I am close enough to possibly see some of you work up close:worshippy1:. Do you frequent any of the shows up your way with your goodies? I have been wanting to get up to Buckley for years but never have a for sure plan to do so. I would set the date in stone if I knew you would be there.
If not maybe a private tour some time, Kathy and I love an excuse for a drive up north.

Again great work. Keep em coming.

Hey Greg, Marie and I are here most any weekend and you and Kathy are more than welcome to stop by.
PM me and I'll give you directions and a phone number.

We have reserved show spaces a the Buckley and we attend every year.
We have also been to the Blanchard show twice but I was very disappointed with it this year and probably won't go back.

Thanks Ray, PM sent. Kathy plays the Hammered dulcimer and there are three festivals she attends in the summer but none in August so we are free all weekend. Should see you there!

Wilber, I wouldn't mind meeting a few more faces when we get up there, do you attend every day? We most likely would be up Saturday as we both still work and would just drive up for the day.

Are you going to take it to Buckley next year?

Absolutely .. I'm planning on driving it all over the show grounds.
I'll be happy to share my space with you again if you want to bring something up this year.

Greg .. you should bring that grader up. We can easily make space for it also in our spot.
It's free for two people to get into the show if you have a tractor to display.

Thanks for that invitation Ray. I would love to do that but I think I have a lot of work to get done before I would feel ready. But that may be just the incentive I need to get going at it, sure cant grade now, the drive is frozen and there aint no snow.
Got your PM, will be in touch!

Ray, thanks again for taking us along on another great build:smiley-score010:You do a wonderful job of documenting and sharing the build with folks from all over the world. I bet there is another build lurking in the shop or at least in the back of your mind......
