Bolens 1250 Front Wheel Dust Cap replacement....sorta

I had to replace the dust caps on the 1250 as one of them was split. Rather then put caps on and having to repack bearings every so often I decided to put on a set of bearing buddies. The caps measured at 1.975 and the buddies measured 1.985 (bought as 1.980 so obviously not true size) so I had someone machine a little off. They now fit nice and snug.

I know it is not "original equipment" but I think they should work nicely (sorry if I insulted any purists out there).

Looks like those will make your bearings last longer. Good idea.
