Got the 67' Estate keeper back up and running

In October I took the engine out to put in a new set of rings... A few months later it is back up and running!

This was the "special" engine that was bored 1/2 over so I had to grind down the rings I bought.

Those ring sets just keep getting more expensive, in 2003 I was paying $30. In 2010 I paid around $50 Today they are charging about $62 with tax:wallbanging:
Good news is they are still making the ring sets as they were stamped 2011

I also lapped the valves and degreased the engine.

Nice video Doc, sounds really good. It looks like it's a blast to drive too.

Very neat machine. Back when we lived in your neck of the woods (WNY) my neighbor had one of those with a front-mount mower. I tried & tried, but he never would part with it!
