A member at MTF asked if I would post what i have done over here. So here is what has happened.

Here are some some pics of the pre fitment. It looks like its gunna fit like a glove. The only thing thats gunna be a little tricky is cutting and mounting an adapter to the output shaft.

Sounds like that will make you a nice engine. Thanks for sharing the pics and vids. I assume that the red light / green light was charging? I saw it come on at low rpm's again.

Can't wait for the front PTO pics & vid of it sprayin' snow.

Looks like a Lombardi diesel, also looks like the blower shroud is missing? That's a must for an air cooled diesel ! Also need to turn the idle up , not good to idle them low to the point that it skips, it could damage internals.

Welcome Bulldog!

Looking great! Brand new engine too! Will you be refitting the front to mule drive for the deck & snowblower, or just go hydraulic powered?

For right now im making a unit to bolt on to the engine so I can use the mule drive. I have spent enough on the case this year. But next year I want to mount another hyd pump going off the front.

Welcome to the forum. We breath diesel here
Nice looking project and the engine sounds very good. I like the idea of an air-cooled engine for simplicity of the install.
Listening to your engine at low idle reminds me I need to set the low idle up on mine.

Bulldog, what are you doing about the taper output shaft? How is that being adapted to work with the Love-Joy coupler and the Case hydraulic pump? I think that is one of the most common challenges that can face people wanting to use a diesel engine that was originally spec'd for generator or refrigeration service.

Bulldog, what are you doing about the taper output shaft?
JN

From the pic it looks like he's already addressed this, so yes, we'd love to hear how you did it. I would think you machined the engine half of the love-joy to match the taper? Then a bolt holding it on with the head countersunk?

In another forum I thought I remember Bulldog mentioning that he needed to cut the shaft off, though I'm not sure that would work well. I don't know if in the pictures he has actually addressed the issue or if he is just test fitting but it will be interesting to see what his solution is.

I sure am envious of the Lombardini engine. I don't know exactly what he paid for it but it sounds like he got a great deal on it - and it's brand new! That should be one sweet Case GT when he is finished with it!
