Just performed a huge mod to my daughters pedal tractor, changed the gearing from 1:1 to 2:1 now it is a tractor! It moves nice and slow while the pedals are going like crazy. Next mod that will be done later as she gets bigger is a real diff for the rear end, instead of the lousy 1 wheel drive it has now.

Atta Boy Dad. Teach them early that slow is OK too.

Maybe before it's all over, you can make it shaft drive, locking diff, hey ...
you could even put a motor in it. :D

The plan, is to have it able to pull a scaled down plow and get her to grow her own little garden, time will tell, she may just want to play with dolls, but hasn't shown any interest yet? Time will tell

I was expecting some engineering & a limited slip system...

She'll love it that she's not spinning all the time. She may want to plan her turns tho...

LOL , have any of you guys heard of a "ball diff" well they act and are ajustable like a limited slip, except they are velvet silky smooth. I'm going to build one for it and put it inside a 5 speed cartidge , then she can even change gears( hopefully, have enough room for the derailer) ?

I'll try and take some tonight , diff is still in the thought stages, but as soon as I decide how I'm going to do it, I'll draw it up on the cad so I can make some workable plans to build it with.

And how about a hands free phone setup, so she doesn't get pulled over for distracted driving.
The federallies are really on the warpath about that.

:rofl2:
Yeah, don't forget the cup holder either.

Can't wait to see pics and plans. I think this will be cool.

If you don't have room for a full size derailer, how bout an old 3 speed system?
Also, how are you going to allow for backing up or the sneaker actuated "Jake brakes"?
