If you have one and know the make/model please post some pics. I wonder if the same company made them for all garden tractor makes in the 50's? I found a flat bottom with slanted rear end trailer with 12 x3 semi pneumatic tires (box measures 42 in long / width 24.5 in / 10 in walls) and am trying to ID it. It is painted orange. Pics to follow soon.

There may have been a central producer for the boxes as they do all seem very similar, but the latching and dumping mechanisms as well as the axles and hitches seem to be different. Often the "other" parts are the best way to Identify them once all the paint is gone. I don't have any that old to take pictures of, but I'll be waiting to see yours!

off hand, that looks like a Simplicity color, but it could be a repaint. It looks to be in great shape for it's age!

I believe your cart is a Jackson #2 cart. (Jackson #1 cart was smaller and about the size of a wheelbarrow. Jackson #3 cart was larger and 10cuft [?] with a square back and removable metal tailgate.)

It may have been painted for a particular manufacturer, or it may have been repainted at some time in its life. ......When we were selling them Jackson was painting them a greenish/turquoise color.

I know of a Jackson number 3 cart at the scrap yard right now, seemed kinda flimsy to me, so I left it.
