I have been using Lucas Red-N-Tacky NGLI #2 in the summer and NGLI #1 in the winter for about 12 years. Repels water and stays flexible.



Yes,I use that one too,works great.

I have always just used "grease". Usually get it from either TSC or the local auto parts place.

Since you guys have mentioned a couple, I may try them when I run out of what's here.

As for the Vaseline, does it have good enough lubrication for actual use or should it only be used for show tractors?

I use it for all of my show tractors. If you use your tractors hard, and all year long, then I wouldn't recommend using it.

this is what i was brought up using and i still use it

Gary , how does this grease hold up as far as getting hard and drying out ? I replaced a truck spring the week and tried the red Valvoline for the spring pins just to see how well that does , Al
