Hello, Just joined the forum so hope I,am doing this right. I just bought a ford 120 serial #53250 2440 with a sund strand model #90-2029 hydrostatic transmission and would like to know what oil to use in the tranmission and where is the level plug, also by the tractor serial number would anyone know what year this tractor is. Thanks for all replies

The fill plug is under the seat, there is a hole in the tray on the front side to access the plug. Fill to 1/2" to 1" below the bottom edge of the hole. Use type A trans fluid.

I believe the model 53250 is a 1969.

There is an owners and parts manual for the Jacobsen Chief tractor in the manuals section of this forum. The Jacobsen Cheif is almost identical to the Ford 100 and 120, Jacobsen built the Ford 100 and 120.
