How did you make out Nitris?

Have been tied down with kids of late have not had time to work on it, but have been working on another issue, Seems my 11 HP Briggs has a little problem. The intake valve ring keeps slipping out when you have run for a time and shuts it down. Take the head off rotate the motor and reseat the ring you'll run for a time longer til it does it again. Any idea how to fix this problem?

You mean the valve seat keeps working it's way out? If that is the case I wouldn't run it anymore until you get it taken care of, don't want to wear out the bore anymore then what it has already done. This is one area I have no experience in. If I am not mistaken the valve seats are supposed to be a tolerance fit.

Yes that would be it, I have not run it since.

Probably should have a new seat installed and a valve job but if you want a quick fix you can "peen" the area around the valve seat with a small punch to cinch the seat in place.
