Oh yeah, the trips to go get them is what my wife enjoys! She has little to do with my hobby otherwise, except to go to what few shows I can get to.

My wife doesn't have a passion for tractors, but she is always a good sport about purchases if it's within reason $$wise. When I was on the fence with the 80 cart recently she was the one that nudged me over. She said "think of it as your x-mas present"---SOLD!

Karen is supportive in that she accepts the fact that she doesn't understand my addiction, but enjoys me being happy. She keeps me grounded with quite a few "No's" and just enough "Yes's". She will sometimes remind me that I have a family in the house, not just the garage or online & she is there to listen when I want to talk about some GT "thinggy" or another. (as long as it's not during America's got Talent).

So I too want to thank my wife, even if she doesn't share my rusty junk addiction.

Guess I'd better say that my wife gets a kick out of me taking a beat up old rusty looking GT and bringing it back too life and making it into a nuce looking useful GT again.She has no problems with me spending $$ as long as I'am happy and making a few extra $$ to buy more she's fine with that.Just gotta love them for sure. My wife is OK with buying the tractors but does get a little peeved when I spend twice as much for the gas to pick one up than I did for the tractor.

The wife has never had any problem with the tractors that I've bought.
She really likes it when we have to make a "road trip" to get one.
Actually she has gotten into the hobby enough that she wanted one of her own.

My wife is great, she will help lift, carry, move over and over. She'll even go to tractor shows all summer long

A helpful tip for those not so happy GT wives is to share the excitement by matching the dollar amount you spend on each new GT and give her that same amount to go spend as she pleases. That tends to change their mood and also makes you think how bad do I really want this next GT, ha,ha.

Great Thread, My wife is OK with my collecting GT's as long as it can make money down the road. I try to keep a few and sell some of the others, the best part is that it has paid for some of her projects that would have been tough to take of other wise. For her putting up with my adiction, I THANK YOU "HONEY"!!

Funny you mention that. Just yesterday, my wife was going over the Christmas shopping list for the girls ect, and as I always say: "spend whatever you want. I trust you and we've (together) never outspent our means".

She has a trip planned with her girlfriends this spring. They're going to southern California (we/they live in MN/ND) and they'll be gone for a week. Not cheap, but then neither am I... :D

My wife wasn't interested at all first. Now she does drive one in some of the smaller parades & attends some shows. She did get into the "Trail Ride" last Fall (preparing the table);

Going to have to get her started driving the 314 next Spring! ~~ grnspot
