I was watching American Restorations tonight and their project was an old bantam tractor. In the end they really made it look nice and all original.

i just saw that, i only watched the last 8 minutes but if i knew it was the bantam episode i would have made sure i saw the whole thing, i have been wanting to see that one. i think it came out great but it was not 6 grand great.

When that show originally aired, there was some input as to cost of restore and other.

Yes,and if I remember correctly,it was a rather expensive tractor when done.

I do love the bantam and it may have been my choice for a retro mower had I not had this freaky little embankment out front here. Didn't think a 3 wheeler would have been the right tool for it. Not that a 4 wheel panzer is the picture of stability, it's not, but a little better.

I really need to watch more tv. Will have to see if they have it on the catch up part with the on demand.

Yeah, it's history channel. The net looks like they only keep the last 2 episodes online. Will have to check verizon FIOS, but knowing it's on History is important because they make you select on-demand by which channel
