The boys went out riding there pedal bikes last night I could hear them yelling from a 1/2 mile away and though somethings up.Having all sorts of wild critters around black bear, wolves, coyotes, odd cougar [lots of bush in my area] I kinda got nervous didn't hear the dog bark so wasn't to nervous. Was in the process of getting the truck out to go see what was up.I had just got the garage door open to take the car out when they came down the driveway. It didn't take to long to realize what was up,as we all know the aromar of skunk. At least the kids didn't get sprayed just the dog. She's only 2 so this was her first encounter with a skunk.I got some dish soap.and baking soda and washed her off the best I could.I'll say this much I wore rubber gloves. The dog had to spend the night outside so guess today I'll go into town and buy some skunk smell remover from the vet.Apparently this stuff is supposed to work wonders so guess we'll see after we try it out. Larry.

Went to the vet bought the product called Skunk off ,it comes in shampoo form or a liquid form that you apply and work into the fur let it dry and thats it.It's supposed to work within minutes.Guess what I'am very impressed it did what it said and no more smell of skunk. What I and the dog smell like now is more like a lemony citrus smell.Almost think I did the furniture with lemon pledge, good stuff well worth the $9 plus change.I still have 1/2 bottle left over for further use.{hope I never have to } Guess the dog can come in the house now.Larry

A couple years ago I was walking my dog and he got sprayed. I didn't think it got me until I walked in the house and the kids started gagging. I went to the local grocery store and bought all the tomato juice they had, 7 large cans- 5 for the dog and 2 for me. After the tomato bath we smelled like skunk with a tinge of tomato juice. Skunk out finely helped but it took a while before the dog was totally skunk free.

Don't say that stuff really worked until the dog gets wet again.....That will tell you....I have seen where people thought the smell was gone, then when the dog gets wet again, it brings back some of the smell.......In do hope it worked for you though....hate that smell.
