From Myth busters to Wall busters in one episode. Wonder if this will be on their program.

Well, I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later. I hope that it wont effect the show! I'm a big fan of the Mythbusters program.

I do occasionally watch the show and enjoy quite a few of their trials. Fortunately nobody was hurt. The article said they had been using that firing reservation for eight years. Even the most careful planning can go awry.

Glad no one was hurt, hope the repairs go easily and there aren't "suits" regarding mental anguish involved.

Jamie Want Big Boom!!!
Love the show… Accidents happen. These guys, especially Jamie, have always been particular about safety. Its a fluke, it happens.
It’s funny how the comments on here start flying towards lawsuits. Yep, thats the american way, wait til something hits the fan and then sue sue sue!!!
Get over it people. If it was the military that fired the shot and it happened it would be swept under the rug, but no, its a tv show so sue now and sue fast!
You can keep your American Idol…
Did anyone read the comments on that page??
When did the producers of American Idol meet the president? The president issued a challenge to Jamie and Adam, he also commented on how much the presidential family loves the show and its contributions towards science. Anything that puts kids heads in the books is good for society.. But hey lets watch American Idol and shows about teen pregnancy, yeah that helps society.

They weren't firing towards the houses...

They were firing on a test range, with water barrels to take the force and a concrete blocks as well as a huge earthen backstop.

However it sounds as if it shot upwards, and so basically became a mortar and came back down.

I honestly would never have believed it could bounce around in a house like that until i saw the pictures. Weird beyond belief, we should have the mythbusters test that... Wait a sec... LOL

Seriously though, did you see how it bounced around the house, then upstairs, then out the back wall? It was like pinball in that house.

That's what amazed me was how it bounced around in the first house then shot out and went through a second house and into a minivan. I also believe it travel quite a distance from the range to the first house. With all that they do and this is the first mishap I think that is quite a record.

Poop happens to the most safety minded people. Even Police officers get into accidents. Unfortunately the news media will wring this for all it's worth. This is probably getting off topic a little but when was the last time you heard of a major media source doing or contributing to something worth while. I can't think of anything. No answer necessary just food for thought.
