Parts tractor.
Missing starter, front vari drive belt, ignition switch, rusted out deck, 1 rear tire n/g, motor has no compression, +???
This tractor has a glass sediment fuel bowl, cigarette lighter, light kit and a mystery bracket on the left rear fender.
The pictures make this one look a lot better than it is, but that's OK cause all I wanted was a parts tractor.
Drove buy a house that had 4 Massey GT sitting outside, stopped in on the way back and found a 38" wide MF650 tiller complete. Tried to buy it fellow said it wasn't his and the owner wants $2200. for the tiller, blower, mower deck, and a MF10 tractor with a 20hp Kohler Vtwin, package deal. Left my # and an offer for just the tiller.

Lots of good parts there! No idea on the mystery bracket.

I tried to trade this plus some cash for that tiller but no luck the guy I talked to would have gone for it but the tiller is not his. The guy who owns the tiller needs a lift handle assembly for his MF10 with the Vtwin on it so I still might get that tiller yet.

Doug, does the mower deck have the small cover? I have the big cover for mine but not the small one that goes around the gear box.

Yep that be them. I didn't know if it would be one piece or two piece but two piece makes more sense.

Congrats on your new parts tractor! As to the mystery bracket I wonder if it could have had a soft side cab on it at one time and that could have been the bracket that held the door shut. Some of the cabs had a steel rod formed for the door and the material sowed around that. It looks like it could have a wide enough groove in it to hold that rod and hold the door.

Dont take this wrong, but man I see a lot rusty tractors up that way, do alot of people not put their tractors under cover

Story goes this one sat outside for a few years. I think people just put them out in back lot instead of scraping them.

Even if its a tarp with a block on it, I dont understand why someone wont cover their equipment, I've bought a couple like that, but just 25-50 parts machines. It really isn't a issue for me I RARELY see a Massey around here anyway. I search craig list and they are thick up around PA

Masseys have always been popular up here, there was a MF tractor plant in Toronto for a lot of years.
