Place for me to put my daily ramblings whether it be about the site, tractors, personal or anything in between.
I know time off from work usually goes by fast but I didn't think it would go by this fast. I had off Wednesday through Monday on account of the LAGC Eastern Extravaganza. It went by in the blink of an eye. I am still beat from running around and being on my feet for those 4 days straight but it was so worth it. I want to send out a special thanks to everyone that made it to the show to display your tractors and those that came to look around. We had an awesome turnout with around 650 ...
What show you may ask? The LAGC Eastern Extravaganza. We have a lot of stuff to make sure we have together. Got the member cards made last night and finished laminating them today. I gotta make some flyers up to hand out at registration to remind everyone about next years show. Also need to get our tractors ready. None of them are spectacular but I would like to wash them off and get some of the dust off of them. Also have some work to do on a couple of the implements. Our new banners ...
Would love to borrow one if anyone has one. I hate how fast the weekends go by the work week drags. I should be happy I have a job and I am but there is so much to get done and so little free time to do it in. The Dover show is less then two weeks away now. Have a lot of stuff to finish up on the tractors and also get them cleaned up a little bit. Also have a few things we need to get together for the display tent as well. Thankfully my wonderful wife and 6yr old daughter are helping ...
This month has just been unreal as far as rainfall. We have seen more flooding in areas this past month then we have seen in quite a few years. The road we drive in on to come to work has been shut down for the last two days due to flooding. They opened it this morning and the road was still flooded but passable. Yesterday wasn't too bad and was dry thankfully, although there was the threat of rain at any time. Now today they are calling for thunder showers and chances of rain. Well, ...
The site is going to be down for approximately 15 to 30 minutes on Saturday for a server update. Just wanted to give a little heads up before anyone came on and started freaking out because the site wasn't here at that time.
Hopefully anyway. If the weather would cooperate. With that being said do you have any special plans related to garden tractors? Maybe have one that you want to restore? Plan on going to any shows? If you are going to any shows, what shows are you planning on attending?
Dear Santa, All I want for Christmas is two gts, garden tractors that is. I swear I have been a good boy this year. I'm not asking for much and I always help out when I can. So if you could just drop off two garden tractors on your way back to the North Pole I would be ecstatic. How about a John Deere 110, a Case 448 or 446, Cub Cadet 782D, or a Cub Cadet 100 with fenders? They don't have to be pretty, heck they can even have rust. I will cherish them like no other. So please ...
Many of us use different terminology for describing the same piece of machinery. Some use lawn tractor or garden tractor and others use riding mower. There are many different designs of tractors that are made for different purposes. So what do you consider to be the difference between a garden tractor, lawn tractor and riding mower? Everyone is entitled to their own thought or opinion on the meaning of the different terminology. To me a lawn tractor would be used for mowing duties ...
I am working on the videos from the Steam-O-Rama show I attended. I figured it was time to take a break from working on the site sort of. I wanted to get these videos and article done and I happened to have some extra time this weekend. I am however going to start mainly doing overall highlight videos as it does become a little too tedious to incorporate every single video that is shot at these shows. I think it will also make for more enjoyable viewing. I know everyone wants to see ...
Some know and some may not know we just recently moved the site to a dedicated server this past weekend. Due to the growth that the site has experience and with the future in mind it needed to happen sooner or later. We figured sooner would be better. Now that the site is on a dedicated server we are going to be planning on doing a much needed software update. This weekend is going to be pretty busy as we are going to try and get the 20 some cord of wood split or at least as much of it as I can. ...
