Starting today and ending on friday, we will be in above normal temperatures. Today will get to 42F and tomorrow and Friday will be in the low 50's I'm going to try and get some "outside time" in these next few days before the cold comes back LOL. The snow is melting away but I dont think we are done yet. So far we have been getting small snowfall amounts all season. We are due for a big storm.....
We have winds reaching about 20-30 MPH today. The outside temp is around 14F. With the winds they said the windchill is going to be about -15F to-20F at times. Not a good day to spend outside We just have to get through until Friday. Then the upcoming week is supposed to be in the low to mid 30's I'm ready for spring!
Today we had a ton of heavy rain and some pretty big wind gusts move into the area.... I hit the road at 4:15pm and I don't think I ever got the car going faster than 40MPH on the highway. There were about 5 different accidents along the way, One car hit another one, A van in one lane caught on fire and the fire trucks were blocking the way. At some points I even had to put the car in park but the majority of the ride home was around a whopping 5 MPH. I ...
Well, it started at about 9am and is supposed to continue into saturday. They say we may get 1-3'' today and overnight get an additional 4'' of lake effect snow. So with this being said I may actually get to take out the Garden tractors and push some snow!
Well, the past 4 days we have had above average temperatures here (High 50's to low 60's) Tomorrow is supposed to be the last day of our good weather streak we have been on and this upcoming week they say we may get some of the white stuff Tomorrow I'm going to do my rounds and make sure everything is in place for winter. I probably wont be online much tomorrow.... Got to enjoy the last 60 degree day we will probably get for the season. Its going to be in the low 40's next week ...
I took in a load of scrap aluminum today, mainly old chairs and screen doors. Got 54 cents per pound, I got around $105 for my small load I took in.
I stayed inside most of the day and did work inside and spent alot of time on GTT . It was a high of 39F today and there was a steady rain fall the whole day with some of it turning into snow. Supposedly we may receive up to 1'' of snow overnight . I did load up some scrap aluminum that I will be taking in tomorrow morning.
Yesterday we had sunny sky's and it was around 86 degrees. We almost broke the record yesterday of 88. A cold front moved in last night and it barely hit 60 today Oh well, back to the reality of WNY weather LOL.
The past week we have been in the mid 80's with lots of sun. I am really enjoying this nice stretch of weather we are in. I'm getting lots done. Friday we are supposed to get into a low front and we may get a few showers but its supposed to be a nice Memorial weekend.
Well, It was just one of those days. I went to start up the One Bolens today to finish the lawn and the battery was dead. So I figured while its on charge why not start up the 1050 and till the garden some more. I turned on the PTO and began tilling, not too long after I started to smell burning rubber and saw smoke comming from the belts. I turn off the tiller and find that the Idler pulley that engages the PTO belts had seized up. So I guess I'll be getting a battery and Idler pulley ...
