I can likely add to your research as I have posted catalog scans in Yahoo Groups from Farmerik's collection. Pre-war models that come to mind are a Team-Trac and in the UK the Hoe-mate, Chor-mate and Plow-mate sold by BMB (British Motor Boat Co.)
